First Tutorial for Scrappin' Sisters and a Portrait

Hello Lovelies!

Today I'm presenting my FIRST TUTORIAL down at SCRAPPIN' SISTERS!

I have written it in ENGLISH, too, so you can easily read it.

The subject is DIORAMA.

I have always been fascinated by those little hand built sceneries and tried them a few times.

The tutorial is a marine scene made using some of my clipart and easy to find materials.

As some of you already know, I'm not a Valentine's Day fan. But yesterday I wanted to thank my hubby for always being with me, above all during these difficult times.

So I cooked him some strawberry cupcakes and made him a portrait.

More ACEOS

As Ebay allows me to put on auction only 10 items per month, I thought it would be better to put my ACEOs in my Etsy Shop: BLACKPUMPKIN'S MESSY STUDIO (click for link).

I want to remember you that all the profits coming from sales on Ebay and Etsy (any item) will be used for 

ZEN DOLLS PROJECT (click for info). I will create 20 canvases that will be used for a humanitarian cause. Any help will be well accepted.  If you don't want to buy one of my works, you can donate 1$ using the ChipIn widged on the left side of my blog.

I thought about ACEOs, because they are not very expensive and people can collect them (and I also like their size!!) :)

A Project & ACEOs

OK, I know it must sound rude, but......

I'm trying to collect some money for my ZEN DOLLS PROJECT: I have to create about 20 Zen Dolls canvases for a project that will take place in 2013. But I'm not "in the money" right now, because my husband is not working very much and my job doesn't pay much... So, if you would like to contribute even with 1$, I'd be very happy to show you my gratitude when the project starts (please, write "zen dolls project" in the notes to the seller in PayPal). I cannot tell you much about it for now, but I'll talk about it as soon as I have news.

There is a ChipIn widget on the upper left side of my blog. I think it's the best way to show friends' and peoples' generosity. :)

I'm going to make 2 or 3 open edition series (cats, witches and zen dolls).

Some New ATCs

Today, for SHOW & TELL SATURDAY and SWEET SATURDAYS I want to share some new ATCs I made during this week. In 2011 I have traded lots of them, but then I had to stop because of the postal costs, that here in Italy are a plague.... One of my trading friends lately asked me to make some ATCs with my collage Dollies, and here they are! :) Together with an idea I had for my Matrioskas, too: a set of 4 playing cards Matrioska Queens. I colored these with Letraset markers and gel pens.

I think I'll put them for trade in my Flickr album.

New Doodles & New Collaborations!!

It's been a long time, I know... I have been working on my Etsy Shop, increasing items and having some interesting sales, and left everything else behind.

I have known many nice people during the last month, and I'd like to share with you a collaboration I had with a wonderful Scottish lady who makes beautiful steampunk, gothic and victorian jewels.

Zazzle Adventure?! & New Etsy Mini Mini Journals

I'm very curious, I know. :)
Yesterday I was browsing throught my favorite blogs, and I saw this Zazzle Ad. I promptly clicked and entered a wonderful world!!
I started uploading some of my drawings and creating some objects!! Wow! That's fun!!
And the personalized POSTAGE STAMPS? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! I had received an ATC envelope with a couple of Zazzle stamps. It's a pity I live in Italy, I would have bought tons!!

I bought a cards book and put together all the cards I have received so far.

THANKS TO ALL THE KIND PEOPLE WHO TRADED (and still trade) WITH ME!!

A Game with my Nephews...

... ended up into creating a huge series of Family Portraits.

We enjoyed trying to look for similarities in our real family. :)

I've also made three would-be-bookmarks, one for each of my nephews (but I was thinking of making one for my mother, too. She's a greey bookworm as I am).

ATCs!!!!

Doodles and ATCs

This will be my last week with my nephews.... Two of them are going back to the other side of the world (they were here on holiday), and - if my wallet will allow me -  I'm going to see them in August.

We have been working a lot on creativity and drawings this year, and I'm really glad they have exchanged their ATCs with kids and adults all over the world. :)

While they produced their little pieces of art, I had the time to create some myself.
