Friday Idea & 23rd Pattern

It's too hot these days for staying at the PC. We are experiencing a huge heat wave in Italy, and I don't have air conditioning!!!! 

So I made my fan my best friend and and try to draw something.

This week I have been asked to become Admin of the Zentangle: Journaled and Tangled FB group!

I am so excited! I have been tangling for 5 years now and this for me is a sort of reward for my efforts to improve my skills. :)

FOUND POETRY - CUT UP

Directions:
1)Take a page from an old book, cut out words or sentences and combine them into a poem
2) Draw your tangle
3) Glue your poem on your tangle
4) Show us your work! 

Cut Up is one of the techniques used in Found Poetry.

New Tutorial for Scrappin' Sisters (Italian & English Versions) & Zentangle Ispired Art

This month I'm guest designer for the Italian artful blog called SCRAPPIN' SISTERS.

Mandala/Zendala Art Again!

You already know that when I start something new I get instantly obsessed by it,  and start making tons of similar drawings.

Making a Tangle Mandala: Hugging Trees

Yesterday I was playing with some tangle patterns and shapes. I wanted to use my TREE-THREE tangle for a mandala-style drawing.

I have made some "how-to" photos to show you how I work. I like freehand doodling, so I used compasses only to draw the first circle .

This is a first sketch I made on my Moleskine journal.

The beginning: drawing the round shape and adding my tangle. I have made some colored background pages using spray inks.

I used some colored and charcoal pencils to add color and give depth to the mandala

I called it HUGGIN TREES.

New ChakrART Journal Page & Russian Dolls

Are you still working on your FREE ChakrART Workshop?

Last week I have been meditating on my First Chakra ( you can find all the lessons under the top header of this blog).

This is what I made.

Endometriosis can be very sly. Making you feel allright for a while and then suddenly striking at 4 AM... 

I think this piece reveals the shape of endometriosis cavities which grow inside my belly. But it also shows the relief after avery strike: the cloud brings coldness and the sun/mandala helps focusing on healing.

And now a couple of Russian Dolls. Sorry for the one on the right: there was some bleedthrough from the Chakra page...

Under the Sea & The Forest

Working on some doodle variations and in need for some fresher weather.

Last weekend I have been doodling on my sofa watching musicals and singing. It really feeds my good mood. 

I have been making also some gifts for my sister and her in-laws. My dad and niece are leaving today for Canary Islands for their holiday.

Alien Places

Still on B/W doodling. Summer suddenly bursted here in Italy and the weather is very hot. We have gone from Winter to Summer in a couple of days.... And, as I wrote before, this is not my favorite season.

Maybe that's why lately I'm drawing woods and sea scenes. :))

Yesterday, while meditating on my Third Chakra using my CHAKRART FREE WORKSHOP prompt, I ended up drawing a new feathery tangle. I was very surprised about what came out of the yellow triangle. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed lately (Spring and Summer are not my fave seasons... too much hot weather and humidity), and I'm in need of feeling lighter.

That's why, I guess, a feather came to my mind.

I called it ZENDIAN

My 9th Tangle Pattern: TREE-THREE & New Doodle Pages

Due to a continuous stressful time (last but not least: the water heater died and I don't know how to pay for a new one....) when I'm home I try to relax and calm down my thoughts through doodling.

Yesterday I came up with a new tangle pattern.

I called it TREE-THREE.

Samples coming soon.

I hope things are getting better. I'm a little tired of all the little troubles happening lately. I know there is a message from the universe in them, but at the moment I cannot see it...

My 8th Tangle Pattern: KAKTI & a New Couple of Collages

After almost 2 years (!!!) I have created a new tangle pattern.

I called it KAKTI.

 

You can see a sample of it in my previous post. It's one of the thumbs of the hands doodle.

Last week I took some new artwork to my workplace and hanged them on the wall.

They make a neat spot of color.

I took some photos. Sorry for the bad quality, but they are inside plexiglass frames.

Back to Doodles!

It has been a tough week. Big headaches, backpain and more. 

So I went back to my most relaxing occupation; DOODLING.

And I have been doodling all the weekend!
