This week I have been trying some collage. Next one I'll have to learn how to make backgrounds. I know that my drawings would look better if I put them on a nice background.
I have drawn her face, arms and the flower (pencil and markers) and then I cut her dress out of some heavy scrapbook paper I bought a couple of years ago.
Find other beautiful creations at PAINT PARTY FRIDAY.
And if you like challenges, jump in my 13 GODDESSES IN 13 WEEKS!
Read the rules HERE for info. The first Goddess will be from the Celtic Myth and you will have to link your creation in my post on March, Monday 5th. Please, grab the button shown on the right of my page and follow my blog to be notified about news and updates.
Your images are lovely :D
ReplyDeleteSimple start to backgrounds...work directly onto a patterned paper. Choose a soft faded pattern to begin with, or fade a stronger pattern with white paint :D
Already chosen my first Goddess :D XXX
I often paint a background first then either paint my girl on top so part of the background still shows through, or paint on paper and stick her on! I prefer the first method though - I like the layers!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fab girl you've created here - lots of expression and a very nice dress!!
She is wonderful- love how all your colors work together & her eyes are stunning!
ReplyDeleteShe is delightful ~ well done ~namaste, carol (A Creative Harbor) Happy PPF ^_^
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely, and those eyes... I kind of like the simplicity of the blank background, it makes it seem like the daisy is her whole garden. Then again, I'm partial to daisies ;-)
ReplyDeleteOn the 13 Goddesses front... Thanks sooo much for including writing. I'm very excited. I might even try to mix it up every now and then and see if I can add a symbol or something. My button is at Magaly's Blog Circle.
She is beautiful! And I am joining in on the goddesses. I already have 3 of them sketched out. :)
