Babylonese Goddess: TIAMAT
She was a primordial Water Goddess of creation and chaos. She is usually represented as a Dragon.
When she mated with the God Apsu, she gave birth to the breed of the Anunnaki Gods.
Tiamat was killed by the God Marduk, and from her body the earth and the sea took their shapes.
Etymologically speaking, the name Tiamat seems to be related to the words TI (Life) and AMA (Mother).
If you want to view Week #1 go HERE.
If you didn't make your first Goddess in time, you can still link your creation to Week #2 post.

ReplyDeleteI will have my post in a few days. I have another post scheduled for tomorrow, and I'm a bit obsessive compulsive when it comes to changing schedules... *sigh*
I think one of the things I like most about the 13 Goddesses challenge, is that you allow people to play together while keeping their individuality. I truly appreciate that. Okay, I'll stop rambling ;-)
