29 Faces: #29 & 13 Goddesses in 13 Weeks

Last day of 29 FACES! Thank you Ayala for hosting this wonderful and inspiring challenge! I enjoyed it vey much!
As I wrote some posts ago, this challenge gave me the idea for 13 GODDESSES IN 13 WEEKS.
For this last post I wanted to "merge" the two challenges.
This is not my entry for the first week of 13 Goddesses, but it wants to be an introduction to this subject that I've been loving for all my life.
You can start creating your first Goddess right now (read the rules to know which is the first one). On Monday, March 6th you'll be able to link it in my dedicated post. Take your time and have fun!
****************************
Now a short intro.

The Triple Goddess
In ancient times and now in Neopaganism the Triple Goddess was a group of three goddesses who represented the three stages of life and the three phases of the Moon:
- Maiden: Youth - Waxing Moon.
- Mother: Fertility - Full Mon
- Crone: Old Age - Waning Moon

They were aspects of the Great Goddess.
In Ancient Greece the Triple Goddess was represented by Kore (Maiden), Persephone (Mother) and Hecate (Crone). In Celtic (Welsh) myths they were Blodeuwedd (Maiden), Arianrhod (Mother) and Ceriddwen (Crone). There are many other examples of Triple Goddesses in many cultures.
Here I have chosen to represent them in their "global" way.
You'll find many info about his subject and mythologyin the following books:

29 Faces: #25 & New DT Member's Creation

This has been a productive week for me, in any field. I have some projects to develop, but I'll talk about them at due time.
And not a bad one for my health. Usual pain, but not much strong. And only one day of migraine.
I'm getting ready for the worst time of the year. For me, Spring and Summer are a torture. Lots of migraines, cervical and back pain and a too hot weather. I wish I could live in a constant Autumn, with mild temperatures.

But let's go to 29 Faces Challenge!!
Here is my #25.
You'll find it also at SWEET SATURDAYS
I remember you my challenge 13 GODDESSES IN 13 WEEKS, starting in March.

And now another beautiful creation by my Design Team Member Abbie from
using my Digi Stamps.
Thank you Abbie!

29 Faces: #22

Before posting my new face, I have one news and one question for you.

News: Google will soon close Google Friends Connect. If you have a blogger account this will not affect it, but if you have another account (Typepad, Wordpress etc.) you won't be able to follow my blog. So I put in a new link tool in case you want to follow me through it: LINKY FOLLOWERS.

Question: how do I delete that annoying word verification from my blog? I've checked the settings and I thought I had done it, but someone is telling me that it's still working. Help!!

And now to the face.
Have a great day everyone!

So, Happy Birthday to me! :)

New Challenge! 13 Goddesses in 13 Weeks

Taking cue from Ayala's 29 FACES CHALLENGE in February, the Goddess work we are doing in LIFEBOOK classes and to celebrate my 10 years of marriage (in May) I'd like to propose you a new challenge:
13 GODDESSES IN 13 WEEKS
I've been a mythology fan for all my life. I read about myths from all over the world, have hundreds of books and I've also written a couple of articles some years ago.
My favorite myths are those of the Celts and King Arthur's. My nickname in the Pagan area is Arianrhod SilverWheel. Arianrhod is a Welsh Goddess of Aurora Borealis.
This is the time of the year when the MOTHER GODDESS (Nature) awakens from her winter "death".
So why don't we celebrate HER?
If you choose to participate in this challenge, here are the "rules":
 link it to http://timelessrituals.blogspot.com
  • Grab the button and put it in your blog for others to view it and read about our challenge.
  •
  • Become a fan of my blog or subscribe by email to receive news about the challenge.
  •
  • Each Monday, starting from March 5th, you'll be able to add a link to your work in my weekly 13 Goddesses post. You'll have one week for working on it. See below the subjects for every week. You don't have to stick to the subjects, though. Do what you feel like to. Tell us something about the Goddess you choose: who she is, her legend etc.
  •
  • Any medium accepted: drawing, painting, bead work, woodcarving, papier maché, mixed media etc. And you don't have to stick to a physical representation of a Goddess. You can also use her symbols, objects or anything related to her.
  •
  • Tag your posts "13 Goddesses" so visitors will be able to see all your creations together
That's all folks!
Read below the 13 subjects for each week and GOOD JOB WITH THE GODDESS!
- March 5th: Celtic or Nordic
- March 12th: Babylonian
- March 19th: Japanese
- March 26th: Greek
- April 2nd: Native American
- April 9th: Egyptian
- April 16th: Hinduist
- April 23rd: Roman
- April 30th: Aztec or Maya
- May 7th: Sumerian
- May 14th: African
- May 21st: Australian or Polynesian
- May 28th: Chinese
These are just suggestions. You can create anything inherent to the Goddess theme from any Pantheon

29 Faces: #19 & New Etsy Print

I'm making a series of potraits to sell at BLACKPUMPKIN'S MESSY STUDIO.
Again I used an Italian vintage book page from the 1930s as a background.
For the next ones I'll try some different backgrounds.
My Italian niece made a couple new faces yesterday. Here is the first one.
These are #19 of 29 FACES CHALLENGE.
And you can find more awesome artsits at SUNDAY SKETCHES.

I have so many ideas in my mind lately, but very few time to put them into practice... I always have to wait for the weekend... I feel tired very easily due to my illness (endometriosis), and when I come home from work I usually do some housework and then lay on the sofa and draw and color. all my pieces have been made on the sofa or at work so far. :)
Here is my piece for today.

DT Member Creation #9 & New Print

Another beautiful ATC made with one of my DIGI STAMPS!
This is by Abbie at POWERED BY FAIRY DUST.
Thank you Abbie!
**************************************************************+
And now a new print in my Etsy Shop.
I have been loving this drawing since I made it. So I decided to put my hands on it again and this has been the result:
I used a vintage Italian bookpage from the '30s as background.

29 faces: #12

Another grey and freezing day here in Italy.
OK, I know I'm allergic to sun rays and photophobic, and I do hate hot weather, preferring Autumn and Winter temperatures. But at the moment I'd like a little sun to warm my bones!
*******************************************************************
When I started this blog I was reading a book about Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) by Richard Bandler: Get the Life You Want. Richard Bandler. Click this link
One of the things I've been lacking of during my whole life is DETERMINATION. While reading this book I learnt some simple techniques to make my life more interesting and become more determined in doing things (althought it doesn't seem to work well when it comes to do the houseworks!!!).
I had already started a couple of blogs before, but they died quickly.
This one was a new challenge for me, maybe because I was talking and drawing about something I really loved. It will be 2 years old in August and I'm very happy with it.
DETERMINATION is the key that opens many doors, and this year I want to open a lot!!
***********************************************************************
Now let's go up to the 29 Faces Challenge.
See creations from other talented artists at SUNDAY SKETCHES.

29 Faces: #11 & HELP needed at Artists in Blogland!

Today I went to ARTISTS IN BLOGLAND to post my Saturday Show & Tell work, and found a bad surprise!
Annie is having big trouble with her PC and money, and won't be able to be on the web for long!
As Show & Tell, her interviews and posts have become a regular reading during my week, I would like to help Annie and Marcia by posting this appeal for help. If you want to help, please, follow the link of Artists in Blogland and contact Marcia.
Thank you!

And now the drawing I wanted to post at Show & Tell, but that I'll post only at SWEET SATURDAYS.

Still done at work and on menu sheet. :)
This is how I'm feeling these days with this cold weather.

29 Faces: #10

Well, day 10 and I'm still posting my daily face!!
The Blizzard has truck Italy, an unknown wind here. The air is very cold. This winter we got to -15 Celsius degrees, a very rare case. Central and South Italy is under the snow.
I go to work every day, but in the evening we keep at home watching movies (and drawing, of course!).

This is still unfinished. I was thinking about making a digi stamp with it. What do you think?
